The story behind RepuShift

Built on years of watching
good businesses lose quietly.

Not dramatically. Not overnight. Just a steady drip — potential clients landing on a Google profile, seeing silence where there should be engagement, and quietly choosing someone else.

Where this came from

A career at the intersection of tech, marketing, and real businesses

I grew up in Denmark and spent the better part of two decades working in and around digital technology — building SaaS products, leading growth at software companies, advising founders on how to turn what they've built into something people actually want to buy. That work took me across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America — different markets, different industries, different languages. The problems were rarely the same. But one thing kept showing up everywhere.

The gap between what a business actually delivers and how it appears online to someone who doesn't know it yet. That gap costs more than most owners realise — and almost nobody is doing anything about it.

I eventually settled on the Costa del Sol — one of the most competitive markets in Southern Europe for independent businesses. Estate agents on every corner. Dental clinics side by side. Dealerships competing for the same pool of international buyers. Genuine offerings, real expertise — and online reputations that told a completely different story.

The moment it clicked

The same profile, over and over — dozens of reviews, zero replies.

I started looking closely at Google Business Profiles across the region. Sixty reviews with none answered. A glowing five-star from a happy client — met with silence. A pointed one-star — also silence, which is worse.

A customer took five minutes to write you a public recommendation. You said nothing back. What does the next person reading that profile conclude?

I already knew from years in marketing that review responses were a meaningful local SEO signal — that businesses who replied consistently ranked higher and converted more. But seeing it firsthand, talking to owners who simply had no process for it, made the problem feel concrete and solvable.

So I built a system. Tested it with a handful of clients. Watched profiles transform in the first week — not just aesthetically, but in terms of actual enquiry volume. The results were consistent enough that turning this into a proper service was an obvious next step. That service is RepuShift.

How it actually works

Automated where speed matters. Human where quality does.

Every business that signs up completes a short brief — tone of voice, key phrases to use or avoid, how formal the reply style should be, anything specific to the business. That becomes the brief our system works from.

From there, we monitor the profile around the clock. Every new review triggers a response — drafted to the brief, checked for quality, published within 24 hours. Negative reviews get the most careful treatment: acknowledged, not deflected, with an invitation to continue the conversation offline. We also clear the backlog first, because 60 unanswered historical reviews are the first thing a prospective client sees.

We reply in the language the review was written in — English, Spanish, German, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish — without the business owner having to configure anything. The goal is simple: you never have to think about Google reviews again.
